Ships:
Gwyndolin/Solaire: I just think it'd be nice! And has a lot of potential for sweetness, and for melancholy, and for tragedy. Solaire is just so earnest and sweet but ready to reject himself preemptively so he doesn't have to be rejected by others... and Gwyndolin is so hurt and wound up in his own "duties", sitting alone by an empty tomb, loyal to a father who never treated him as either a son or as someone worthy of being proud of... even with the firstborn's statues destroyed, holes left all over Anor Londo, there's not a single statue of Gwyndolin. Even with every other god bailing and leaving only him and Ornstein and Smough behind, he feels obligated by duty to try and please a father that is beyond his reach, and I think that has to mean that someone needs to give him a little kiss and make him feel important, or at least treat him like a real, normal person.

Gwyndolin being drawn out of reclusiveness by this sun-seeking undead who bears his brother's symbol and falling in love? Solaire thinking the snakes are cute and being like "well snakes love to bask in the sun too, do they not?" and giving every precious sneg (snake leg) a lil kiss on their head? Gwyndolin being touch-starved after an eon of hiding in his dad's vacant tomb and blushing and dying the first time Solaire holds his hand and kisses his knuckles? UGH!!! It's so relevant to every fluffy instinct i have, tbh.
But that's not to say it only has to be fluff... Solaire liking Gwyndolin but feeling obligated to continue his quest... falling into despair and to the sunlight maggot, or missing that fate just to link the fire... Gwyndolin having to live with a love lost, another bit of his life destroyed by his father's legacy... oof my feelings.
And if you feel up to writing a bit of DS3, I'm absolutely interested in a failed-to-link ashen Solaire raised up to seek the lords of cinder, and arriving in the Boreal Valley in time to save Gwyndolin from being vored...
Non-shippily, I do love them each on their own too!! Any kind of character study or snapshot or snippet of their lives, introspective or from an outside perspective... Gwyndolin on the day his brother was struck from the records, or the day his sister left Anor Londo... the time Solaire worked with Lautrec and gave him a sunlight medal... Priscilla's childhood before or in the painting... you know! Stuffs! All great!
I love AUs, both "what if something else happened in canon" and "what if the setting were entirely different", and in particular I'd love to read a story about Gwyndolin cast into Ariamis and raised by Priscilla (who may not have been much older than him?). But I'd also love to read, like, "Gwyndolin as the secret android left behind in the basement when powerful scifi CEO Gwyn died" or "Priscilla finds the sourcecode for SBURB inside the painting and escapes through having Homestuck happen to her" or "Solaire the slightly mad but very sweet street artist who's really into sun-worshipping woo". Whatever! I'm very easy to please. <3

Sulyvahn/Gwyndolin: TRUST AND BETRAYAL... and maybe... regret for that betrayal... I'm so fascinated by all the things we don't see happen between them! How Suly charmed his way into Gwyndolin's life, how Gwyndolin felt when he had someone he trusted at his side, the slow undermining of his authority and destruction of the Boreal Valley... there's so many things left unsaid and undescribed, and I'd love a closer look at any of it.
Lorian/Lothric: Canon soulbond codependent cursed brothers sharing one big giant bed? Hello yes i love this actually. Strong, heroic Lorian willing to give up his voice, his mobility, his very life for his brother is just... oof... and enough cannot be said about the way Lothric entwines their hands and whispers for Lorian to rise, if he would. I want emotions for them, and I want the moment they decided to never be apart, and I also want content about Lorian's unyeilding sword being used in service of his prince, iykwim.
Gwyndolin/Lothric?: I'm fascinated by what perfect mirror images they are of each other, right down to sharing a voice actor! I'm also not exactly mad that it's kind of implied by canon that Lothric and Lorian are Gwyndolin's nephews. Whatever wild scenario would allow them to meet, I'm HERE for it.

Lothric's rising bitterness about his situation, the ire of "oh when I'm going to die it's meant to be and my fate, but when Ocelotte dies you go mad with grief and turn into a dragon? thanks dad," the quiet midnight venting to his brother, Sulyvahn stepping in as his tutor and deliberately planting seeds of the idea that he can turn away from his fate... Lothric is my favorite DS3 character and I'm not sorry about saying it lmao. Literally anything about his life and thoughts and how he gets to where you meet him is great!
I do also still super love the other nominated characters, though, and I'd love similar character portraits for any of them. Lorian the first time he dies defending Lothric! Or when he decides to stay at his brother's side! Gwyndolin during the rise and fall of the Boreal Valley, or what broke his dedication to sitting alone and sad in his dad's tomb and made him chuck the Ring of Reversal into a corner, or how he found and adopted Yorshka. (Or is she actually his actual sister? Did Gwyn get eggpregged by Seath and laid the egg in a dark corner, where it slept until Gwyndolin found and hatched out his very own little sibling? Legitimately I would read a fic about this series of events, give or take a few details.)

Artyom/Pavel: I'm PRETTY FULLY convinced that Pavel captured Artyom either to save his own hide from his bosses by bringing them a present... and/or because he knew about what was coming down the pipeline from the Red Line and he wanted to save Artyom from it. After all, he makes all those promises of Artyom being treated well, asks him to cooperate, is just sad after watching Artyom get tortured and being set at odds with him... and Artyom thinks of him as a hero and friend, before the betrayal... and even afterwards can't bring himself to kill him, even replaces his filter before leaving him behind... it's really emotional and intense and I love it.
I also feel like Artyom/Pavel is the perfect ship for star-crossed soulmates and hanahaki. Like, damn!, there's a lot of stuff that's working to keep them apart... but together maybe they can cross that barrier...
Artyom/any dude: Honestly I can't not read Artyom as having a crush on basically every man he spends any amount of time with. Hunter? Dude, Metro Exodus basically starts with Artyom being saved by wearing Hunter's tags over his heart, that's CRAZY romantic. Miller? Who else believes in Artyom so hard, gives him so many opportunities, is so admirable and strong! Khan? What's a wise mystical mentor for if not having a crush on? Uncle Bourbon? I mean, he's probably pretty smelly, but so is everyone else in the Metro, Artyom can hardly judge. Ulman? Who could ask for a better friend to grow a crush on! Anyways Artyom wanting to smooch, and possibly actually smooching, every guy he knows is great.

Outside of my ships, this is also the perfect canon to go balls to the fucking walls with scary monsters and uncanny horrors and ghosties and unrestful spirits of the dead. Artyom already has a Reputation by Last Light as someone who can see and deal with those things, even though he's definitely no expert at it, and people calling on him to help with hauntings, monster nests, and other things that go bump in the night is a great setup!
I also would love a non-apocalyptic AU where Artyom is just the neighborhood psychic dealing with everyday hauntings, because that's just cute tbh.

Grimm/Knight: i can't believe grimm watched this little voidbug walk into his circus tent and was like "yes, that one, that's the one i want to have my baby." except i can. who better to raise the next incarnation of the god of nightmares than a being of pure void?
Likes & Prompts:
I'd be interested in any exploration of the late-game hopeful notes, like knowing there might be another stag out there, or the infection fading away and maybe releasing any bugs that hadn't been completely devoured by the Radiance... (FREE MYLA 2020). But also I'd love to see something set after the Godmaster endings, where the Hollow Knight is freed and Hornet gets to deal with [waves hand] all that.
I personally love the hints of personality and motivation that the Knight has or could have throughout the game, and as a minionmancer player, I have to admit... I find it VERY charming when the Knight has all 8 possible children following them around lmao. Like mother like voidchild, I guess! Grimmchild has the most potential for actually having a personality, but the Weaverlings are adorable, and I wouldn't say no to something like... Hornet sees the knight walk in like 'what up i've got a spoid family" and getting distracted critiquing their parenting style or something lmao.
Also Hornet and Herrah content?? How long did Hornet have with her mother before she became a dreamer? I'd love to know about her childhood deepnest adventures...

They give each other purpose and take each other seriously as threats and are basically each other's best hatefriends in the whole universe.
Zib/Dib: Dib having all his weak points laser-targeted by a crueler, more megalomaniacal version of himself? Zib escaping the Zimvoid to fight the Dib he's convinced himself was absolutely in the wrong? Dib going back to the Zimvoid to rescue Zib because he realized he maybe felt a smidge bad??? Any of the above ending up in alternate-universe selfcest smooches????
Purple/Red: They may be idiots but they're MARRIED idiots and I love them.

I am just genuinely wild for how Zib is all of Dib's worst traits amplified by all of Zim's and what a little monster that creates. I'm also wild for the incredibly distressing backstory of this boy. Like, how did his Zim die? Were there feelings there? Did he go full remorseless low-empathy feral on his Zim, or did one of Zim's plans backfire bad, or did some third party or random chance strike Zim down...? And, like, god, the mental gymnastics he inherited from Zim, to not just completely wreck himself on the guilt of killing his dad and sister and all the trillions and quadrillions of other people in his universe that he doesn't really care about but should know objectively it was bad to kill... aaaa Zib just has so much potential, so many gaps to fill, so much angst for him to trick himself out of noticing, so much loneliness. Either looking back at his past or forward at his potential future, I'm HERE for it.
I'd also love to see the paranormal and the scifi elements of the canon see more crossover! What happens when Purple drops a bag of chips and the shape the dropped chips take summons a demon onboard the Massive? What happens when Zim is haunted by a ghost? Maybe, once their hateship evolves into friendship, Dib could take Zim cryptid hunting? (Maybe they go on a cryptid-hunting date and Dib gets great footage that he's really excited to post as proof, PROOF!, that Sasqueratu is real and sucking squirrel blood-- and everyone says they'd be convinced except lol no way was Dib on a date.)
I also love Dib and Gaz sibling content-- sure, Dib is a pretty bad sibling, but he's intensely protective of Gaz and genuinely remorseful when he knows he's overstepped. And Gaz cares about his happiness more than she cares about her dad's sciencey plans for Dib... they're closer to each other than they are to anyone else, and I'd love some Dib And Gaz Adventures.
And speaking of families... Zim and his affection for robots... love that for him. Especially by Enter the Florpus, where he's clearly finally getting a grip on what he can expect from GIR, but also he just loves so many robots.
On the more horrifying side of things, I love the baked-in possibilities of body horror with the personality being stored in the PAK and an irken's body being little more than a husk the PAK pilots around.
For AUs, I'm PARTICULARLY fond of soulmate AUs for zadr, especially ones where Zim (who is not supposed to have a soulmate, because irkens don't have those)

I've always thought it would make for a cute fic if Karkat's blood color being revealed to [insert highblood beau here] and him expecting something terrible to happen to him, going on the defensive and ready to fight for his life... and Eridan instead going full history nerd and excitedly talking about the Signless to Karkat, who has no idea what he's on about, or Equius trying to pretend he hasn't instantly started getting horny for being bossed around by a mutant. (No one's fooled, Equius.) I'd also love to see awkward overtures of romance between these idiots! Also I just love them all.
For a slightly more ambitious scenario... I love non-SGRUB AUs where there's a cascade of some of our trolls not wanting to get culled and certain they will be, so they go into hiding and wind up kickstarting another revolt. I don't exactly expect a full-on longfic in this scenario, but I sure wouldn't mind little snippets and ideas and worldbuilding and Troll Society Sure Is Weird! fics set in a universe like that!

Artyom/Pavel: I'm PRETTY FULLY convinced that Pavel captured Artyom either to save his own hide from his bosses by bringing them a present... and/or because he knew about what was coming down the pipeline from the Red Line and he wanted to save Artyom from it. After all, he makes all those promises of Artyom being treated well, asks him to cooperate, is just sad after watching Artyom get tortured and being set at odds with him... and Artyom thinks of him as a hero and friend, before the betrayal... and even afterwards can't bring himself to kill him, even replaces his filter before leaving him behind... it's really emotional and intense and I love it.
I also feel like Artyom/Pavel is the perfect ship for star-crossed soulmates and hanahaki. Like, damn!, there's a lot of stuff that's working to keep them apart... but together maybe they can cross that barrier...
Artyom/any dude: Honestly I can't not read Artyom as having a crush on basically every man he spends any amount of time with. Hunter? Dude, Metro Exodus basically starts with Artyom being saved by wearing Hunter's tags over his heart, that's CRAZY romantic. Miller? Who else believes in Artyom so hard, gives him so many opportunities, is so admirable and strong! Khan? What's a wise mystical mentor for if not having a crush on? Uncle Bourbon? I mean, he's probably pretty smelly, but so is everyone else in the Metro, Artyom can hardly judge. Ulman? Who could ask for a better friend to grow a crush on! Anyways Artyom wanting to smooch, and possibly actually smooching, every guy he knows is great.

Outside of my ships, this is also the perfect canon to go balls to the fucking walls with scary monsters and uncanny horrors and ghosties and unrestful spirits of the dead. Artyom already has a Reputation by Last Light as someone who can see and deal with those things, even though he's definitely no expert at it, and people calling on him to help with hauntings, monster nests, and other things that go bump in the night is a great setup!
I also would love a non-apocalyptic AU where Artyom is just the neighborhood psychic dealing with everyday hauntings, because that's just cute tbh.

I'd be interested in any exploration of the late-game hopeful notes, like knowing there might be another stag out there, or the infection fading away and maybe releasing any bugs that hadn't been completely devoured by the Radiance... (FREE MYLA 2020). But also I'd love to see something set after the Godmaster endings, where the Hollow Knight is freed and Hornet gets to deal with [waves hand] all that.
I personally love the hints of personality and motivation that the Knight has or could have throughout the game, and as a minionmancer player, I have to admit... I find it VERY charming when the Knight has all 8 possible children following them around lmao. Like mother like voidchild, I guess! Grimmchild has the most potential for actually having a personality, but the Weaverlings are adorable, and I wouldn't say no to something like... Hornet sees the knight walk in like 'what up i've got a spoid family" and getting distracted critiquing their parenting style or something lmao.
Also Hornet and Herrah content?? How long did Hornet have with her mother before she became a dreamer? I'd love to know about her childhood deepnest adventures...

I am just genuinely wild for how Zib is all of Dib's worst traits amplified by all of Zim's and what a little monster that creates. I'm also wild for the incredibly distressing backstory of this boy. Like, how did his Zim die? Were there feelings there? Did he go full remorseless low-empathy feral on his Zim, or did one of Zim's plans backfire bad, or did some third party or random chance strike Zim down...? And, like, god, the mental gymnastics he inherited from Zim, to not just completely wreck himself on the guilt of killing his dad and sister and all the trillions and quadrillions of other people in his universe that he doesn't really care about but should know objectively it was bad to kill... aaaa Zib just has so much potential, so many gaps to fill, so much angst for him to trick himself out of noticing, so much loneliness. Either looking back at his past or forward at his potential future, I'm HERE for it.
I'd also love to see the paranormal and the scifi elements of the canon see more crossover! What happens when Purple drops a bag of chips and the shape the dropped chips take summons a demon onboard the Massive? What happens when Zim is haunted by a ghost? Maybe, once their hateship evolves into friendship, Dib could take Zim cryptid hunting? (Maybe they go on a cryptid-hunting date and Dib gets great footage that he's really excited to post as proof, PROOF!, that Sasqueratu is real and sucking squirrel blood-- and everyone says they'd be convinced except lol no way was Dib on a date.)
I also love Dib and Gaz sibling content-- sure, Dib is a pretty bad sibling, but he's intensely protective of Gaz and genuinely remorseful when he knows he's overstepped. And Gaz cares about his happiness more than she cares about her dad's sciencey plans for Dib... they're closer to each other than they are to anyone else, and I'd love some Dib And Gaz Adventures.
And speaking of families... Zim and his affection for robots... love that for him. Especially by Enter the Florpus, where he's clearly finally getting a grip on what he can expect from GIR, but also he just loves so many robots.
On the more horrifying side of things, I love the baked-in possibilities of body horror with the personality being stored in the PAK and an irken's body being little more than a husk the PAK pilots around.
For AUs, I'm PARTICULARLY fond of soulmate AUs for zadr, especially ones where Zim (who is not supposed to have a soulmate, because irkens don't have those)

I've always thought it would make for a cute fic if Karkat's blood color being revealed to [insert highblood beau here] and him expecting something terrible to happen to him, going on the defensive and ready to fight for his life... and Eridan instead going full history nerd and excitedly talking about the Signless to Karkat, who has no idea what he's on about, or Equius trying to pretend he hasn't instantly started getting horny for being bossed around by a mutant. (No one's fooled, Equius.) I'd also love to see awkward overtures of romance between these idiots! Also I just love them all.
For a slightly more ambitious scenario... I love non-SGRUB AUs where there's a cascade of some of our trolls not wanting to get culled and certain they will be, so they go into hiding and wind up kickstarting another revolt. I don't exactly expect a full-on longfic in this scenario, but I sure wouldn't mind little snippets and ideas and worldbuilding and Troll Society Sure Is Weird! fics set in a universe like that!
